Romad has two significances:

1. A blend of two words: Ronin (a master-less samurai) and Nomad (traveler with no home).

2. An homage to the Air Force TACP (JTAC) community that I've served for 17 yrs. It's a slang word for the now-extinct position of a JTAC apprentice and has been adopted as a community identifier.

Originally created during Vietnam, Radio Operator Maintainer and Driver went forward with maneuver units and called in airstrikes. Naturally, the ROMAD monicker changed to something cooler: Recon Observe Mark and Destroy.

Our mission is to inspire and support the underdog and those fighting to build their own destiny. Inspire to be the master of our own fate; to always fight back. We always get back up.

We Rise.
